Description:
This is an audio demo of my new Cordoba C10. The miking isn't perfect, something is a little off, maybe a phase issue but it's better than the mic on the camera 10 fold. Also I shattered my thumb nail last week so not only am I lacking the nail, the finger is bruised so I had to adapt my playing a little bit and the bass notes aren't as clear as they should be. I don't play too much classical guitar, I'm more of a steel string kinda guy so I played the few classical songs I know parts of. Tell me what you think! For the junkies: Signal chain: Guitar to Stereo pair of SM57s to E-Mu Tracker pre to Garageband. No effects. No volume normalization. Specs: Solid Canadian cedar top Solid Indian rosewood back and sides Polyurethane finish Ebony fretboard 25.59" scale 2" nut width Thru-body neck joint 19 frets Songs: That thing from dream guitars reviews Villa Lobos Prelude 4 A Carcassi Study Spanish Romance Dicking around on Villa Lobos Etude 1 Dicking around on Villa Lobos Coros #1 Strumming. Flat picking (poorly) Scarborough Fair A piece I wrote.

but have to get it ...
but have to get it mailorder. It might be worth the gamble, as they have a 45 day return policy. Thanks again, and enjoy your guitar!

Thanks for the demo ...
Thanks for the demo! I wish more people would do a thorough job like this. Most are just pics of the back and sides, and 45 seconds of some tune. You mentioned some serious wolf tones, and I'm assuming you mean those nasty thuddy notes that boom out with little sustain. I played a couple of Cordoba C7 guitars, and both had thuddy notes on the open G string, 3rd fret of the bass E, and 5th fret of the D string. I would have bought one if it weren't for that. I'm considering buying a C10 in spruce

@MegaRed6886 I ...
@MegaRed6886 I believe it was $1000 exactly! I highly, highly recommend it. This video doesn't do it justice. I have a new one of a Villa-Lobos prelude with some nice mics and pres and it sounds INCREDIBLE

@RDM213 Thanks so ...
@RDM213 Thanks so much! Yeah, that's the one I wrote. I have a final version uploaded if you're interested, it's called Solus. And I'm glad to hear you feel the same way about the C10 as I also compared it to a few Ramirez models.

Hey man nice piece ...
Hey man nice piece there at the end. Thats the one you wrote? Andy McKee/ Antoine Dufour feel on nylon! nice. I got a C10 a few months back and I love playing it. I have a Ramirez R4, and the C10 honestly blows it away. Bass has way more boom to it.

@Aurelius27x I ...
@Aurelius27x I played...a c5 I think before I got this and really didn't like it. I'm glad the 7 is an improvement. I would definitely recommend this for an all solid wood classical guitar, it serves me well. Though is does have some pretty serious wolf tones.

I just got the C-7 ...
I just got the C-7 Cordoba and am pretty happy with it despite the laminated sides and back... I lose some volume and projection which is fine by me since I don't perform or anything. the C10 and solista sound pretty incredible... I imagine if I do take my playing to the public eye I'll look into one of those.

@tdeecy Thanks for ...
@tdeecy Thanks for the comment! I do agree with you about the pick, that's usually why I use it. I generally have a lot better balance when I have my thumb nail but I was a little thrown off with out it. I plan on it! Zach

Actually, using a ...
Actually, using a pick brought out what the guitar really sounds like, since each string gets the same type of pluck from the flat pick, much more evenly than PIMA can. Something I never thought about before as a way to test the sound capabilities of a guitar. Very nice axe, by the way! Play the hell out of it! T/
